My toddler's love for "BER-WEDD!"

The husband narrated this. It happened while I was away, and I apparently missed some good entertainment.

It was after dinner, and the toddler was in his usual energetic, happy mode, toddling around. He climbs up the sofa, watches some commercial, climbs down, does a dance in the living room, then walks to the dining area.

Then, he spotted bread. It was sitting on a stool within his easy reach.

His eyes lit up in ecstasy, he walks towards the bread leaving a trail of drool behind, grabs the plastic bag containing the bread and started to walk around the flat in search of someone who could open the bag for him.

He toddles towards his father.

"Baaah-baah, BER-WEDD!!!" He exclaimed with urgency. His papa waves him away saying that he has just eaten his dinner, and couldn't possibly eat anymore.

Undaunted, he toddled to his grand-papa.

"BER-WEDD!!!" Little dude exclaimed in earnest, but grand-papa agreed with papa, and waved him away too.

Little dude started to get a little anxious and toddled worriedly to his grand-mama.

"BER-WEDD!!! BER-WEDD!!!" He begged loudly. But grand-mama would not give it to him too.

"BER-WEDD!!! BER-WEDD!!!" He runs around again from person to person, asking for bread. What was wrong with these adults? Why wouldn't anyone give him BER-WEDD?!!??

In the end, he crashes on the floor, overcome with sadness, pining for his beloved bread.

Just then, the television aired the next set of commerials and distracted him. Papa, grand-papa, and grand-mama hastily took the bread from him and hid it from his view.

Everyone collapses on the sofa. Tired.
